Transformative Space
With the Blue Wing renovation, the Museum of Science is creating a space that is “always on” for our visitors — offering different experiences throughout the day and into the evenings. Our teams are developing programs under four main tiers: Foundational, Daily, Special, and Spectacle.
Foundational experiences are being developed in partnership with globally renowned artists and institutions and will take full advantage of the immersive technology and scale of the new space. The Museum aims to premiere two to three new Foundational experiences each year, exploring themes such as neuroscience, nature, and AI.

Daily programming will elevate the classic stage presentations the Museum is known for — including Meet the Scientist and Live Animal presentations — by leveraging the capabilities of the new space to transform fan favorites into something extraordinary.
Building on these strong foundations, we are producing and designing game-changing convenings, performances, immersive experiences, and heritage celebrations. And with Spectacle programming, we will bring high-profile guests to the stage, engaging audiences around the world through conversations, evening experiences, community activations, and more!
